Joblink Activities Group (JAG)

A socialization service designed to help clients develop and practice social skills outside of work.

Activities promote community participation, building natural supports, and practicing community access skills.

Clients participate in leisure activities in community settings with leadership and assistance from staff.

A core belief of Joblink Activities Group programming is that the best learning experiences happen in community settings rather than in a facility.

For our clients, “COMMUNITY SOCIAL WORK” means visiting stores, restaurants, parks, museums, games, and events around North Iowa whenever we can!

Our team members model and practice social and community access skills, such as meeting new friends, having good conversations, coping with feelings, budgeting and making purchases, and understanding social norms in unfamiliar settings or experiences.

As clients try new adventures with Joblink Activities Group, they gain the knowledge and abilities necessary to engage with their community with less support while building friendships with others.
