Where Shopping is a Cause!
Find new treasures every day at Affordables Thrift Store! We restock with over 300 unique items daily and welcome 150-200 customers who shop knowing every purchase makes a difference. All sales go directly to employment training programs for North Iowans facing employment barriers, creating pathways to meaningful work. Every item is generously donated by our community, and our team ensures quality through careful sorting, tagging, and display.

Our program covers every aspect of retail—from the cash register and stocking to customer service and preparing donations. By shopping at Affordables, you’re directly supporting hands-on training and workforce development right here in North Iowa.

Located in the Becker Center, Affordables Marketplace provides training opportunities for individuals to gain essential workforce skills, all while offering unique furniture and home décor items. Your donations make it possible! Training includes customer service, merchandising, donation processing, and preparing items for resale—helping team members build confidence and valuable work experience.

Stop by The Lunchbox for a meal or snack, where our inclusive kitchen staff works to create delicious food options. From sandwiches and salads to warm daily specials, everything we serve supports skill development for North Iowans. We also offer catering for special events—just give us two weeks’ notice!
